BIKE MOVE ME OUTTA REED! Link
Reed College - German Haus, 45.479540, -122.626987 Take Trimet
12:00pm
Bike move my stuff from Reed College up to N/NE Portland.

Coffee and light snacks provided at the beginning. Load up and leave by 1pm.

This will be a long ride, and there will be some hills. It's 8 miles up to N/NE Portland (near MLK and Rosa Parks Way). It will probably take us 1.5 hours.

Some more substantial food (probably tacos) and beer provided at the end.

It's one room full of things, but most of the furniture isn't leaving.
Biggest challenges: I have a six foot long desk that's 17" deep. Not too heavy. I also have a heavy queen size mattress, and metal Ikea queen bed frame that comes apart. Also a large office chair.

Yay bike move yay!

SmartTrips for New Movers: The Right Time for Behavior Change, Presented by Sarah Goforth

Since 2014 Portland SmartTrips has provided active transportation information to over 73,000 new mover households. Capitalizing on an influential time when movers are already in a state of change, SmartTrips encourages new movers to consider all of their transportation options. As a result, program participants report they are walking, biking, and taking transit more than prior to moving. In fact, theyre driving 7% less for both commute and non-commute trips. Join us for a rich storytelling event told through data, charts, and travel behavior analysis.
