I'm leaving Portland forever (for a while? who the fuck knows anything) and I want to lead a bike ride for my bike friends and also for whoever shows up. If you're into bikes, we could probably be friends (maybe not) and you should come to this ride. I dunno if there's been a First Friday ride before, so as far as I'm concerned, this is the first First Friday ride, but it also might be the last because I won't be around to lead another. Meet at the top of Mt Tabor at 7:30pm. Ride by 8:00. Expect a mild challenge and a moderate pace. Zero gas station parking lots and no bonfires. Only bike ridin

9:00am
It's Thursday and I'm just posting this week's ride.  I have been slacking!

Sadly, a Springwater ride, eastbound, up to Powell Butte seems like a bad idea this week.

This week, is rider choice.  We will decide where to go that morning.  A couple possible, easy, smoggy day choices  might be an up and back on the Springwater to the cart pod on Hawthorne.  Or, we could head south to Oregon city for coffee and see what kind of trouble we can get into there.  Or bring some ideas on Saturday or start a conversation below.

Saturday Casual Rides are no drop rides intended to build and support the Milwaukie area cycling community.

BAA is taking it up Tabor! treat yourself at the Pie-bartisan Caf (mmm...pie...), then burn it off on a slow, laid-back tour of an eclectic mix of 25 fabulous homes around Tabor-Laurelhurst Pk--from super-sleek moderns to Atomic Ranches to sweet Victorians. Fair warning: there will be hills; we may walk up some. Non-looping ( 7 mi)--ends near Hawthorne, probably at Baghdad, for beer and foods (bring dinero for that!).
