BUILDING IT OURSELVES Link
Clinton Street Theater, 2522 SE Clinton Take Trimet

$7 at the door. Which comes first, the bike lanes or the bike riders? "If you build it, they will come" is conventional wisdom among bike advocates and planners. But what about the people rising up to take back the streets for bikes even—especially—in neighborhoods where bike infrastructure is slow to arrive? Through a series of short films, slides, and lectures, bike activists and reporters Joe Biel and Elly Blue report back to Portland on what they've learned across the world.
