The first Three Speed ride for 2015! For the Spring classic, we'll have a lovely 20-ish mile ramble 'round Portland. 8-week professionally instructed bicycle mechanics curriculum trains volunteers complete overhaul and tune-up procedures.
Free to all B4HPDX volunteers. (We invite students to volunteer 10 hours with us for receiving this 24-hr curriculum.)
Thursdays 6-9pm. (Except holidays. Check b4hpdx.org Google Calendar for holiday schedule.)
Students can practice on own bikes during hands-on portion of lesson.

We'll cruise by a few parks on our way to Cathedral park and hang for a half hour. Then we meander back into the inner city and finish up at Grant Park. The last friday of every month for over 10 years now, the Shift community has been providing free pastries and coffee (and sometimes, bacon, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, fruit, etc) to bike commuters.  We gather every month on the Steel (esplanade east side), Hawthorne (westbound off ramp), and Burnside (east end, westbound).  Join us during your commute for companionship and a little nutrition and a lot of good times.

Bikes For Humanity PDX(B4HPDX) is a charitable service project aimed at providing our community affordable refurbished bikes, repair classes & workshop space.
Volunteers meet M-W 2-9pm, Th-F 12pm-6pm, and Sat 10am-6pm, to refurbish donated bikes for recirculation within PDX community. Every 2 hours volunteered earns 1 hour free use of pro shop for your own project.
Financial aid and earn-a-bike programs available to help everyone afford a bike.

Say hello to Spring with a leisurely cruise along the Alameda Ridge and down into Irvington!  We'll check out gorgeous historic mansions (Autzen House!) and unique ranches (Brady doppleganger!) and so much more on this easy, slow, laid-back tour along the ridge (great views!) and the north/west end of Irvington (8 miles max). Fun and a little educational. Ends at County Cork for excellent beer and tasty Irish pub food (bring dinero!).

THE PEDAL POWERED TALK SHOW Putting up our first ever multi-billboard campaign definitely calls for a celebration so we're organizing a BIKE THE BILLBOARDS bicycle ride and I hope you'll join us!We'll meet at the Keen Garage (505 NW 13th Ave) on Sunday March 29th at 1:30PM and leave shortly thereafter. Bring a bike and be on time because the first fifty riders to show up get a free t-shirt!We've planned out a fun and easy 5 mile ride that passes all our billboards and includes a few surprises along the way.
