Road fatalities in Oregon have increased a whopping 42% in two years. We're holding a rally/funeral procession/protest ride in memorial of the dead, and to raise awareness of this state-wide crisis.

Starts with a march through downtown (so invite your non-cyclist friends) then continues with a ride. Dressing up in your "second line funeral" best (or whatever makes you think of New Orleans and/or funerals) in encouraged, but not required; feel free to come as you are.

The Brompton Urban Challenge will take place in Portland on Saturday July 16. This two-wheeled scavenger hunt is open to all bike lovers (not just Brompton owners) and will provide an adventure ride throughout Portland with teams solving clues and completing challenges to win prizes from sponsor Ortlieb. The day will start with coffee and donuts at Clever Cycles in Portland and conclude with prizes, post-event libations and gifts for all. The event costs $25 including all refreshments and prizes, and proceeds will go to Bike Portland.

Party-goers are encouraged to bring a potluck dish and list your ingredients for those with food allergies and preferences. Also, don't forget to bring everything you need as far as drinks (even water) and peein'-in-nature type supplies, because there are NO facilities at the top!
