This FREE 3 week class will cover all the basics of Bicycle Touring.  It will include picking out a bike, how to decide what gear you will need and how to carry that gear.  It will also look at deciding on style of touring and how to choose a route.  There will be an optional weekend mini-tour after the class is complete so you can try it out without having to strike out on your own.  Optional mini-tour weekend of March 14-15 is $50

This ride follows the Springwater Corridor multi-use path picking up where the December 13 Puddlecycle ride left off and exploring hidden gems all the way out to Gresham. Highlights include Butler Creek nature area, Hollybrook Park, historic Ambleside, Columbia Brickworks and the massive brick graveyard, Tsuru Island, quaint downtown Gresham, the Center for the Arts Plaza, and a secret rock garden with hundreds of balancing rock sculptures. Flat route is 18 miles if catching MAX in Gresham back to Portland; 29 miles if riding all the way back to Woodstock City Park.
