4:00am, First Monday of every monthOne of the last Oregonian newspaper carrier/cyclists rides nightly (7 A.M.'s a week) in the North East (Fremont to Mason and from Cleveland St. to 19th Ave.)
Route begins (PROMPTLY) at 4:00 AM at Fremont and MLK.
Ride along as we throw the route and discuss ipad newspaper apps., end of print, etc...
Ride MUST finish at 5:30 AM (M-Sat.)
Limit alcohol consumption...polite and quiet, please.

(meet in front of hostel on porch)The PPP returns for its SIXTH season! A casual bicycle ride traversing approx. 3-5 miles (5-8km) with a different route each time. The end destination is a mystery park. The term "park" will be used liberally here, so expect the unexpected! At the endpoint we'll enjoy a picnic dinner. Eating will be potluck style, so please bring food and drink to share (preferably vegetarian/vegan). Bring lights! Please bring your own silverware, plate, and cup. We will stop at a grocery store along the way. If it looks like it'll rain we'll end up at a COVERED destination.

7:00pm - 9:00pmThe lantern walk route will start at the Main Street Plaza on the Eastbank Esplanade, just north of the east end of the Hawthorne Bridge. From there, participants can walk or ride a 2.5 mile circular route around the river: first north along the Eastbank Esplanade, then over the Steel Bridge, and back along Waterfront Park to the Hawthorne Bridge. Lighted bikes are encouraged to start out first and be a vanguard for the procession. Participants are asked to bring a lantern or lights to carry.
