- FEED THE ELK THEN FEED THE BIKE RIDERS
-
9:00amCome tour the Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area where we will deliver the daily winter hay feeding to a herd of elk at the refuge. The elk are fed hay during the winter months to help keep them off adjacent farms where they damage fences and crops when natural feed becomes scarce.
We will ride the hay wagon to deliver the feed and hear about the elk management program from a refuge staff biologist.
After the tour we will leave our cars at a nearby county park and ride to Astoria for lunch on the Riverwalk
This is a free event. More information at http://www.meetup.com/Out-Spoke-n/

- TRE SHEAK BIKE MOVE
-
11:00amSome of you know Tre Arrow, and some have only heard of him. But in addition to being a fearless defender of Mother Earth and in addition to being a deeply loving person, he's also a person who needs help. He's moving and would love your bikey and bike-funista presence to help with. There's lots of stuff, he told me enough for 4-5 large cargo (Adam / Bikes
Work) trailers or a dozen Burley type trailers. So let's help him do this right. Destination is about 2 - 3 miles away.
